Honor of the Six 1.0

Honor of the Six 1.0

To take part in the “Honor of the Six”, a player will need to receive an
Honor counter and put there character name on the Honor Roll. A player can receive this from the holder of
the Honor Roll, in game, at the beginning of each scenario. It will be the players responsibility to keep
track of their current number of honor points, and give that number to the holder of the Honor Roll at the
end of each scenario.

Ways to get Honor points

1.        Player is awarded one point for
each Honor duel they take part in.

2.        Player is awarded one point for
each Honor duel they win.

3.        Player is awarded one point for
each hold or keep they help successfully defend.

4.        Player is awarded one point for
each hold or keep they help to conquer.

5.        Player is awarded one point for
each piece of property owned at end of each scenario.

Honor duel

A player with equal or less honor points then another player may challenge that
player to an honor duel. If the challenged player accepts the duel, each player will get one point of honor.
The winner of the honor duel will receive another honor point.

If the challenged player has equal or greater honor points than the player
challenging them, and refused the challenge, they lose an honor point.

During an Honor duel the participating players will have no active buffs. Armor
points will not be active. Shields will only be used if both players have shields. All weapons will be
reduced to a normal variety for the duration of the duel. Any character killed in an honor duel must report
that they were killed in an honor duel to the purgatory they report to.

Any interference in an honor duel will result in loss of honor points for all
involved in the interference.

Oath Bands

Once a player has gained 50 honor points, they may return to the holder of the Honor
Roll and have those 50 points turned into a Oath Band, with the aid of a blacksmith. This will require the
player make an Oath. As long as the player keeps this Oath, they cannot lose the 50 points they have
invested in the band.

If a character has 51 honor points and turns 50 of them into a Oath Band, they may
now challenge other players as if they only have 1 honor point.

Oath Bands may be used to have a Blacksmith improve a player’s weapons, armor,
or abilities. If the Oath Band is used in this way the player loses all the honor points they have invested
in the Oath Band.

2019 Tournament Reminder

Hey all, just a reminder that our yearly Tournament is next Saturday from 10-4 at the Pine City National Guard Armory.  You can’t win any of the fabulous prizes if you don’t show! We will provide hotdogs and chips for everyone, feel free to bring any other food that you would like.

We also cleaned up our Foamsmithing tutorial and added a link to it on our Handbooks page.

The council of Jarls turned into the council of Chamberlains…. Both Brannheim and Hammer’s Hold rejected the sovereignty of Balin Grumpkinsbane. The council did raise Constantine up to Jarl of Champion’s Hall, and the Helions acknowledged him as their King. As the Myth Wood prepares for its annual tournament, alliances are made, and loyalty is tested. Who will have the honor of claiming Fairen’Gar this year? Which Jarl will be able to claim Fairen’Gar for their Jarldom?

This year’s Tournament will be held April 13, at the Pine City Armory. The doors open at 10:00 a.m. The Tournament starts at 11:00 a.m. Bring water to stay hydrated as combat will make you sweat. Hot Dogs will be provided, feel free to bring snacks to share.

We will have the Tournament of the Sword (Fairen’Gar), the Tournament of Locks (Fairen’Row), and the Tournament of Spells (Fairen’Eld). We will also have weapons training and weapon making discussions. Everyone is encouraged to attend whether you wish to take part in the Tournament or not. Our aim this year is for everyone to leave with a greater understanding of Myth Wood combat and how to be proficient at it.

The Myth Wood is made up of some fantastic people.   Today I would like to shoot out an extra thank you to everyone in the Wood who takes photographs and share them with us.  The majority of the moments captured in the last few years were shared by the four people above, including Fonzi who I don’t have a single full faced picture of.  Thanks again!

Recently I took some time and pulled together all the pictures, from many different places, that have been taken over the years and organized them into photo albums.  The Photos page now has at least a few pictures from every Myth Wood event that has ever been held. Feel free to dig in and look at the history.  If you find that you have some pictures that are not in the albums feel free to add them to the correct event album, Google Photos makes it easy.

Also, there is a video on the page that was taken at this years feast of the Jarls conference.  If you missed the feast and want to know what was discussed have a look.

Council of Jarls

The Myth Wood 2019 Feast and Awards ceremony was, as all are past Feasts, a great success. A big thank you to all the brave souls who attended and brought with them so much wonderful food. Even with the threat of impending blizzard-like conditions and debilitating plague like symptoms in certain households, we were able to celebrate the accomplishments of last year and begin the story for the 2019 Myth Wood L.A.R.P. season.

It was a wonderful day, and I am happy to report everyone made it home safely after the event. The Tournament this year will be held at the Pine City Armory and will be on April 13th. I hope to see you all again then.

Photos

Thanks to those who took pictures that day.   If you have any that we have not gotten yet, please add them to the photo album.  Let me know if you need any help with it.  http://themythwood.com/photos/

2019 Feast Event Invite

As the cold winds of winter continue to blow through the Myth Wood, a ship makes anchorage at the new harbor on Dragon Fall lake. From the ship emerges Jarl Elric, accompanied by ambassador Riven, the Hunter, Morgan Daniels, and Burnie the once rover. They look far older than the few months away can account for. Grim and battle scarred they make their way to King’s Rest.

Elric has his people clean and prepare King’s Rests’ hall for a feast. For it is that time of year again. When the Jarls feast under one roof and hear the problems of the land. Their decisions and laws will shape the course of the future of the Myth Wood. As a special treat Jarl Elric has brought with him a Theater Troupe to entertain at this years feast.

Elric sends his fastest messagers to Hammer’s Hold, Brannheim, Gray Arrow, and Champions Hall. All of the people of the Myth Wood are invited, let none miss the opportunity to feast with the Nobility of the Wood.

I look forward to seeing all who can attend this year. As a reminder the feast is a potluck. The feast will be held at the Rock Creek town hall. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Out of character meet and greet will run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We will have a storyline meeting of the Jarls starting at 11:30 a.m. After that the play will be performed. We plan to start the actual feasting at 12:30 p.m. Following the feasting we will have the annual awards ceremony with guest presenters Jarl Rokai of Gray Arrow and Constantine of the Helions. Finally, we will go over the changes to the Handbooks. We encourage everyone to come dressed as their characters but it is by no means required.

The Main Story Arc of the Myth Wood Season 6

August 11 Event Information

With the ineptness of H.W.W.U.S.’s Protection Squads and the retreat tactics of the Cult of H.W.W.U.S. the major military forces of the Blighted have been pushed back and held at Champion’s Hall. The Blighted’s secret weapon, the Lich, appears to only have powers for parade and affirmation of self importance. This weapon has proven ineffectual in the acquisition of land for the Blighted.

The noblemen of West March have found the reprieve from serious physical confrontation a blessing as retaining the lands of West March is difficult from within their walls.

The Merchants of King’s Rest too have enjoyed a holiday from sales and profits as fear of activity has kept patrons off the streets of King’s Rest.

Brannhiem meanwhile has never seen so much activity. The soothing comfort of safe spaces for those plagued by the fear of possible combat, if all others fail, has proven a most lucrative commodity.

Hammers Hold and its people have enjoyed complete safety, and inactivity simply because they are too far away and it would require far to much effort to walk there.

Of course, we the Devils of Old Tickle town find this all quite amusing. For if the Blighted should prove to have a plan or the people of the Wood a backbone. Well then, the other side will simply give us a soul so we can take care of their problems for them. For this reason our usefulness far outweighs our actions of blatant murder.

This is the current atmosphere of the Myth Wood from the prospective of the Devils. But what do the Blighted have planned next? Will the people of the Wood be strong enough to continue to hold them back? Who will receive the next blessing of the Six? We will find out on August 11th.

Set up and breakfast starts at 8:00. Checkin starts at 10:00 a.m. We will have lunch at the end of the first scenario. Burgers and hot dogs will be provided. Feel free to bring a food dish to share.

Things to make sure you bring; water, bug spray, sunscreen, and a belt. Also we strongly encourage everyone to get a full nights sleep before the event as the heat and activity can be very exhausting.
