Well everyone, once again a wonderful season of L.A.R.P.ing comes to an end in the Myth Wood. Thank you to everyone who made our final l.a.r.p. of 2016 so much fun.
To recap the day: The skulls of Order, Chaos, and Balance took control of the bodies of their holders. They also took complete control of everyone who held a piece to a game of keeps. They then split them up and had the Blue team go to High Guard, the Red team go to Hammer’s Hold, and the Green Team went to Gray Arrow Keep. From there, the three teams began hunting and killing the other teams in hopes of capturing the other teams Keep Piece. The Skulls themselves took up residency in the places of power in the Myth Wood. Ordo of the Blue Skull went to the Arena of Valor. Abyssal of the Red Skull went to the Graveyard of the Fallen. Myth of the Green Skull made herself at home at the Lady’s Tree.
As this was going on Rokai with the help of Brother Ravenwood, and Ryn Hawkwynd started a quest to free everyone from the hold of the skulls. After collecting the Spirit crystals of Grimner Graybeard, and Lugh Morningstar, as well as Lord Gadin’s soul crystal, they gave them to the Derf. Then Rokai with the help of his powerful gauntlet brought both the Black Sword of the Daemon Lord, and White Hammer of Agamemnon to the Derf. Using the power of the EverMist Forge the Derf created three magical traps, and the alignment bands that powered them. Once Rokai got Titania’s dagger he had everything he needed to begin fighting the skulls.
While the three teams continued to hunt and kill each other Rokai and his band of freemen, attacked and defeated the Blue skull. Now with a freed Lord Elric on their side they went and battled the Green Skull. After a mostly bloodless battle the Green Skull was defeated as well. However, Gadin’s soul crystal had been used to power the trap for the Green Skull, so when the skull was placed in the trap Lord Gadin of Gray Arrow passed from the Myth Wood for good. Now with Marta freed from the skull’s control she joined the group and prepared to attack the Red Skull. A great battle ensued with many deaths, but in the end the Red Skull was defeated and normalcy was restored to the Wood.
King Balin named Rokai Lord of Gray Arrow. Riddick as Lord of Tickle town. Llew was named Lord of Hammer’s Hold. Riven was made Steward of King’s Rest. In celebration of the defeat of the skulls a game was played where everyone was split in to teams with a Lord in charge of each. The last Lord living was the winner. In this case it was Lord Elric of High Guard.
What a day, great weather, delicious food, and so many wonderful people questing in the Myth Wood.
